An uncensored look into the lives of the female stand-up comedian. Featuring interviews and live performance footage from some of today's most prominent female voices in stand-up comedy and entertainment, this revealing documentary sheds light on the legacy of the female comedian and the dedication, courage and passion that is required to be successful in the male dominated stand-up comedy business.

After getting married, director Emilce Quevedo Díaz decides to turn the camera on three generations of women in her family when they gather to take care of her grandmother Sixta, who lives in a remote village in the Colombian countryside and is facing a terminal illness. The film, "Why We Bang," produced and directed by Orlando Myrics and Clifford Jordan for Ghetto Logik Entertainment is an independent film that documents the historical background of LA's Bloods and Crips gangs, then transitions into several interviews of current and former members of the Bloods and Crips of Los Angeles. 　　Ghetto Logik, a Film Company based in South Los Angeles offers their first urban documentary as a result of being disappointed in seeing outsiders far too often portray the stories of ghetto residents. "We just got tired of seeing people, not from our community making so called "Hood movies" that did not really depict what our community was all about, our goal is to bring real images and real stories about real people to the big screen." 　　Their first effort, "Why We Bang" is an in-depth look into Gang Culture in Los Angeles that shows up-close, the life in South Los Angeles, talking and walking with real gang members first hand. Their approach was to show the gangs, their motivations and deadliness and to capture the voices of the mothers who have lost children to the violence that gangs bring. Gargamore has kidnapped a bunch of the new cartoon characters and sent his live action henchmen (played by James Avery and Bill Saluga from Going Bananas) to stop the real live actors from making it onto the special. Gargamore wants to do this because the new Saturday morning line-up is funny and he's deathly allergic to laughter.

Tamon is an awkward 50-year-old rakugo comedian with no popularity, respect, or ambition. He struggles by, taking care of his father, who can no longer perform rakugo due to his steadily worsening dementia, and who does nothing but badmouths Tamon and calls him a disappointment. Kiko, a young female manzai comedian, ends up writing a skit based on one of Tamon's original stories she finds a recording of from her mother's cupboard. Kiko approaches Tamon initially for permission, then for advice. Tamon also reunites with his former girlfriend, Kiko's mother, and eventually ends up finding his passion in life and his art again.
